- 5. Menus
-
- 5.1. File Menu
-
- 5.1.1. File > New [N]
-
- Choosing this item closes the currently open sequence file (after prompting
- to save changes if they are not saved) and create a new sequence window
- named "Untitled". The new sequence is initialized for the default format:
- Standard MIDI file format 0, number of tracks = 1, and sequence timebase =
- 480.
-
-
-
- 5.1.2. File > Open... [O]
-
- Choosing this item prompts for a sequence file to open. If you choose a
- sequence file and click OK, the currently open sequence file will be closed
- (after prompting to save changes if they are not saved) and then MIDIGraphy
- will open the sequence file you have chosen. MIDIGraphy supports the reading
- of SMF format 0/1, RCP files, SNG files, and SLG files.
- To open an RCP file, an SNG file or an SLG file, plug-in modules "RCP
- Import", "SNG Import" or "SLG Import" must be located in the "Plug-in
- modules" folder. If you want to open an RCP file which has an accompanying
- device control file *.GSD or *.CM6, put it in the same location as the RCP
- file. MIDIGraphy automatically loads the control file and merges data into
- the beginning of the sequence.
- If you select an LHA archive in the file open dialog, one more dialog which
- allows you to choose a file from file list in the selected LHA archive will
- appear. Choose a file which is formatted to SMF, RCP or SNG, and click OK.
- MIDIGraphy can load a file from an LHA archive directly without your
- extracting process.
- File-types which are listed in the dialog are: 'Midi', 'TEXT', 'LHA ' and
- 'BINA'. If you choose this item pressing the [option] key, all file-types
- are listed in the dialog box.
-
-
-
- 5.1.3. File > Close [W]
-
- Choosing this item closes the currently open sequence file (after prompting
- to save changes if they are not saved).
-
-
-
- 5.1.4. File > Save [S]
-
- Choosing this item saves the currently open sequence file to the disk. If
- the current sequence file is untitled, you will be prompted for a file name.
-
-
-
- 5.1.5. File > Save as...
-
- Choosing this item prompts for a file name and saves the currently open
- sequence file to the disk.
-
-
-
- 5.1.6. File > Export... > (format name)
-
- Choosing one of these items prompts for a file name, converts the currently
- open sequence file into chosen format, and then saves the converted sequence
- to the disk.
-
-
-
- 5.1.7. File > Revert
-
- Choosing this item discards all changes to the currently open sequence file,
- and reverts to the last saved.
-
-
-
- 5.1.8. File > Get song info...
-
- Choosing this item displays a dialog which allows you to view information
- about the currently open sequence file.
- If you click the "More..." button, a dialog which shows more information
- about the sequcnce will appear.
-
-
-
- 5.1.9. File > View document...
-
- Choosing this item allows you to view a document file. If you open a
- sequence file, MIDIGraphy tries to open a document file corresponding to the
- sequence file. If a corresponding document file is not found, a dialog to
- choose a file will appear.
- MIDIGraphy searches a document file in the directory in which the sequence
- file is placed. In case the sequence file name is "ABCDE.MID" or
- "ABCDE.RCP", MIDIGraphy searches a file which is named as "ABCDE.DOC" or
- "ABCDE.TXT". Cases in file names will be ignored. If you open a sequence
- data in an LHA archive, MIDIGraphy searches in the LHA archive.
- You can open any other document file by clicking "Open..." button in the
- document viewer dialog. And you can specify font and size by the popup menus
- positioned at the bottom-left corner of the dialog.
-
-
